In his role of Bako – Peter, Gregor Baković conveys on his face the moods, trances, and agonies, as well as the wit, of an alcoholic. Through subtle expressions and gestures, he convincingly illustrates how alcohol addiction shapes his behaviour and his relationships with those around him and his loved ones, creating a nuanced character who could have been so many things had alcohol not dictated the course of his life.
Grega Baković je ustvaril v filmu HVALA ZA SUNDERLAND nepozaben prizor, ko se pobit, vsega dostojanstva oropan mali človek upre in zakriči. Baković plete usodo Johana z minimalnimi, najfinejšimi izraznimi sredstvi, s silovitimi prehodi, zmehčanimi z obupanim pogledom, sramežljivim nasmehom, vedno je poln vsebine, topline. Njegov Johan je na videz preprost, pod površino pa živi človek z vrednotami, upanjem, poln ljubezni... pa tudi jeze, obupa, ki nas s svojo čistostjo prepriča , da sočustvujemo z njim do srečnega konca.
