Don't Forget to Breathe

Fifteen-year-old Klemen lives with his elder brother Peter and single mother in a small and remote rural town. Klemen's well-established routine of spending time with his beloved brother on the tennis court and by the nearby river gets interrupted by Peter's sudden and passionate love affair with his gorgeous peer Sonja, which triggers a torrent of conflicting emotions and reckless actions in Klemen.

Direktor fotografije naslika odmaknjeno podeželje, kjer odraščata protagonista, v pridušenih barvah, ki pa ravno s svojo zadržanostjo senzibilno podčrtavajo silovita, a prikrita čustva osrednjega lika in občutljive vezi, ki se pletejo in trgajo med bratoma. Vse, kar ostane neizrečeno, protagonista pa razjeda in sproža njegove izpade, gledalci ne le razberemo, temveč dobesedno občutimo v detajlih s soncem obsijane, razkošne, a molčeče narave.
Film Ne pozabi dihati nas popelje v zgodbo o dveh bratih na prelomni točki njunega mladega življenja. Režiser Martin Turk se je žanra mladinskega filma lotil z namenom, da bi pripoved za mlade povzdignil na raven avtorskega filma. In to mu je tudi uspelo. Ne pozabi dihati z mnogih vidikov filmskega ustvarjanja ponudi popolnoma zaokrožen izdelek, ki ga žirija v letošnji konkurenci celovečernih igranih filmov brez težav prepoznava kot najboljšega.
