Zbudi me v aktualno tematiko vstopa skozi pomenljivo perspektivo izgube spomina, skozi katero odpira prostor za premislek o sovraštvu, nestrpnosti in nacionalizmu, pri čemer do obravnavanih tem zavzame jasno stališče. Vsi elementi filmskega jezika se med seboj učinkovito povezujejo in s tem ustvarijo sugestivno zaključeno celoto. Pogumen in za današji čas še kako relevanten film, ki o nasilju spregovori, ne da bi ga sam reproduciral v podobi.
