Film je mojstrska sinteza podob, pesmi avtorjevga dedka Franceta Forstneriča, fotografij Stojana Kerblerja in glasbe Sare Korošec (Muzikačake). Vse izvirajo iz Haloz, a že nosilna podoba – haptično megleno jutro, v katerem odzvanjajo drobne dežne kaplje, ki se vpletajo v glasbo, ter se izrisujejo obrisi, silhuete pokrajine in ljudi, jablane – Haloze tudi preseže.

The Vesna for Best Documentary is awarded to A Tree Grows in My Dreams Every Night by Vid Hajnšek, for a work of absolutely outstanding creativity. The film is distinguished by a subtle poetics in which time and breath stand still. Man, landscape, animals, history and tradition merge into one – the Haloze hills.
