Lilijana is a lovely lady who has a very special way of dealing with loneliness. She owns, manages and cleans a small hotel, where she is the only employee. From each of her guests, Lilijana steals a personal item of little value, replacing it with a home-baked cherry cupcake. Konstantin, a formerly successful but now forgotten playwright, stays in the hotel for the last time before retiring. Lilijana and he are growing close until Konstantin accidentally finds out her secret.
