Synopsis
Marjan and his group of friends are disturbed by a young couple of foreign nationality moving to their suburbs. Through a secret filming of the young lovers the tragic fates of these friends, who keep blaming others for their own misfortune, are revealed.

Žirija ugotavlja, da v produkciji, ki ne dosega povprečja zadnjih let, izstopata filma Ruševine režiserja Janeza Burgerja in Predmestje režiserja Vinka Möderndorferja. Möderndorfer se je z izvrstno igralsko ekipo lotil brezkompromisne teme, ki ni pogosta v slovenskih filmih, vedno bolj pa napolnjuje naš vsakdanjik. Žirija Društva slovenskih filmskih kritikov zato filmu Predmestje podeljuje priznanje za najboljši celovečerni igrani film 7. festivala slovenskega filma.
Nagrada v višini 1500 EUR za režiserja, ki jo podeljuje CMCAS (Caisse Mutuelle Complémentaire d'Action Sociale )
