Synopsis
On an intergalactic cruise for singles, lonely souls chase a kiss, a caress, or just a glimpse of love among the stars.
The parallel story follows three lonely characters — Delfino, Zenf, and Rita — on the Pompelmo Express, a phallic intergalactic cruise for singles in search of sex and pleasure. During the journey, each of them faces their relationship with love and discovers how far they are willing to go to get in touch with it, even if only with the tip of their pinky finger. Delfino is a naive, chubby character, always dressed in leather BDSM outfits, who believes in the most sincere and authentic love. Rita is an older cleaner on the ship, unnoticed by anyone, quietly trying to get through her daily routine. Zenf is a cynical scientist who boards the cruise for scientific reasons — but he will soon realize that much more awaits him there.

I am moved by how strongly we strive to love, and by everything we are willing to do to make that happen. This is a film about belonging, sex, and loneliness, but above all, it is a film about love—about the kind of love that reveals our vulnerabilities and sets the universe in motion.

Projekt Kozmonavti se ponaša z izredno avtorskih pristopom, tako v vizualni podobi, kot v izbiri teme in
pripovednem slogu. Avtorjeva ustvarjalna filozofija sloni na zrcaljenju hrepenenja marginaliziranega malega in
izgubljenega človeka. Liki so humorno karikirani ter vešče izrisani. Zgodboris in osnutek animatika sta zelo jasna
in funkcionalna. Iz avtorjevih predhodnih del je razvidno, da gre za spretnega animatorja in režiserja, ki še vedno
goji klasično risano animacijo; ta je sploh v komercialni animaciji preredka. Tema je odrasla, pikantna in zelo
dobrodošla v kinematografsko-festivalskem svetu.

Avtor se tako kot že v svojem prejšnjem filmu znova ukvarja s tematiko skupin na robu družbe v obliki mokumentarca. Z veliko odkritosrčnega, a nevsiljivega humorja, ponuja pogled preko stereotipov in predsodkov in nam prikaže najbolj pristna človeška hrepenenja. S svojo zabavno risbo ustvarja kontrast in subtilno nakazuje na to, kar se skriva pod krinko videza. Je zelo perspektiven avtor, pri katerem je viden velik napredek pri vsakem filmu, zato smo prepričani, da bo animirani film Kozmonavti še en korak naprej v njegovem umetniškem razvoju. V kontekstu univerzalne razumljivosti in aktualnosti teme prepoznavamo vključitev razvoja projekta v programa dveh priznanih mednarodnih programov, Animation Sans Frontieres in Open Workshop, mednarodni potencial zaokrožuje še čezmejno sodelovanje s partnerjem iz Italije. Nazorno je predstavljen tudi vsebinski in terminski načrt razvoja projekta, ki poudarja pomen sinhronega dela na scenariju, likovni podobi in zgodborisu oziroma animatiku filma.
