Synopsis
Emanuel and Timi are juvenile delinquents at the Maribor Youth Home, unit Slivnica. However, they are not the only focus of this documentary short. As their story evolves, the relationships that matter to them and the structure of the youth home are also revealed.

Kamera v dokumentarnem filmu Domčani nas takoj povleče v zgodbo in nas postavi v vlogo opazovalca. V filmu so predstavljeni tako glavni akterji, kot tudi popravni dom sam, k čemur je neizbežno doprinesla kvaliteta posnetega materiala in odlični premiki kamere. V vsakem dokumentarnem filmu je zelo pomembno, da snemalka ali snemalec vzpostavi zaupanje s protagonisti, z njimi sodeluje, še posebej v takšnem projektu kot je film Domčani. To je vsekakor uspelo Klemnu Lorberju, ki je s tem filmom samo potrdil, kako pomembna je vloga snemalca kot avtorja na dokumentarnem filmu.
