Throughout this documentary about lifelong inmates, its original music sustains the hopelessness of the situation these convicts have found themselves in, invoking anxiety when the viewer is first faced with the murderers, uilding up tension along the narrative arc and, with a crescendo near the end, ultimately eliciting forgiveness.
