An ambitious young conductor responds to the invitation of the mayor of a small Slovenian town. He goes there in order to lead the local choir and promote the local culture in Slovenia as well as abroad. Soon it turns out that the situation is not what he expected. He gets involved in local disputes. Professionalism crashes against amateurship, art against hobbies, love against envy.
