Synopsis
Zeko and Gogi, two stereotypical criminals, have to get rid of a body on November 1st. A seemingly routine task proves much more difficult when a veterinarian, a butcher and a prostitute enter the story. It sounds like the beginning of a joke, but things are indeed very serious. After all, this is a story about cancer.

In 2013 I was diagnosed with cancer, the main reason I finally started making films. Because life is short and you never know when it will all be over, so you might as well do what you love. 10 years after my recovery, I am able to tell this story the same way I dealt with the disease - through dark humor.

Projekt GNILO JAJCE je bil dobro predstavljen, tako s strani producenta, kakor tudi avtorja filma. Izbor žanra črne komedije, se pri tako resni temi kot je vizija bolezni v modernem svetu še kako poda, scenarij pa ga uspe nadgraditi z neklasičnimi razpleti, ki nikoli ne vodijo zgodbe v pričakovano smer. Pravi paradoks je, da smo priča razkosavanju človeškega trupla, a se pri tem dodobra nasmejimo in da se nas kljub površinski surovosti glavnih junakov dotaknejo njihove globoko človeške vrednote. Dvomimo o nujnosti «pripovedovalca», čeprav razumemo da je glas razuma, ki daje okvir celotni zgodbi. Ker ostaja v OFF-u, se lahko odločitev za to izbiro naredi v poznejših fazah. Film zahteva pretanjeno delo z igralci in veliko raziskav med improvizacijo, da bi liki ohranili pristnost in ne zapadli v karikaturo. Režiser si v svojem konceptu pušča možnost svobode pri kadriranju, kar bo v sliko vneslo dodatne, morda presenetljive prizore. Odločilna bo tudi razdalja sicer statične kamere, odpira se vprašanje zornega kota in način na katerega bo podano vso dogajanje ter njegov zunanji kontekst. Zaupamo avtorjevi praksi, pa tudi radovednosti in odprtosti za raziskavo vizualnih možnosti, ki jih film ponuja.
