Synopsis

The film tells the story of Nežka, who struggles with loneliness, the loss of loved ones, and the emptiness of everyday life. Her faith becomes a fundamental source of support in dealing with pain and solitude, while contact with nature and animals keeps her connected to life.

Director's statement

After the Rain is a short film about my great-grandmother, silence, loneliness, and memory. Instead of a traditional narrative, I created an open space where image, sound, and rhythm speak. I believe film doesn’t always need answers – it’s enough that it creates a space for experience.
