The story about the couple that has drifted apart after years of living together takes place in a hotel room on the seaside. The man and the woman are thus simultaneously captives of their relationship, but violent persistence in a relationship, and of the closed room.He is a writer, and because she is no longer able to give him the inspiration he needs, he becomes a creative invalid. She refuses to accept this situation anf makes several unsuccessful attempts at reconciliation. Their confrontation with a broken relationship triggers a dramatic ending.
