Synopsis
In 2024, it will be 100 years since Leon Štukelj won two gold medals at the Paris Olympics. In the documentary film, Professor Dr. Ivan Čuk explores the places and times profoundly influenced by Slovenia's greatest Olympian and, with various interviewees, uncovers his life story anew.
Director
Director's statement
Gymnastics was Štukelj's love, passion, and an indelible part of his life. After WWII he was pushed into obscurity and he described his life in a long-hidden diary dedicated to his daughter Lidija and a future chronicler. This film is a small tribute to a giant of sports and Slovenian history.
