Synopsis
“Gaja's World” follows 16-year-old Gaja, whose life is turned upside down when her mother is kidnapped during a humanitarian mission. Stowing away on a rescue mission with a failed detective and a convicted criminal, Gaja discovers courage, true friendship and that even the most unlikely people can change.
Director
Director's statement
I wanted to create a gripping coming-of-age adventure that uses humor and action to explore courage, family, friendship, and the consequences of war. Through Gaja’s perspective, the film shows that young people can make a difference and that everyone has the capacity for good.

Zgodba, namenjena otrokom in mladim, mora iskati ravnovesje med življenjskostjo in poučnostjo, težiti bi morala k zakrivanju pretirane vzgojne pozicije ustvarjalcev. Zaradi prikaza vojnih okoliščin in relativno stereotipnih likov tujcev in nasilnežev v okviru pogosto žanrskega izraza, komisija opozarja na nevarnost vtisa eksploatacije zelo resne in aktualne tematike otrok v vojni.
