The painter from Trieste, belonging to the so‐called "dislocated generation" is not very well known to the Slovenian public as he moved to the United States fifty years ago. There he created a large body of work - from paintings, graphics, sculptures to sacral works and public statues. His most prominent obsession is the Karst and the Karst stone. Last year in October he finally presented himself in Slovenia after a long time with an extensive retrospective exhibition at the Ljubljana City Art Museum. On this occasion the work on a documentary film began, which was later also shot in Trieste and New York. In this film Bogdan Grom presents himself as a witty, vital and hardy man from the Karst, who keeps creating almost every day even in his 91st year of age.
