Synopsis
During the three and a half year siege of Sarajevo from 1992 to 1995, the only connection of Sarajevo’s ordinary people with the outside world was a tunnel, which they secretly dug out under the runway of the Sarajevo airport. People called it The Tunnel, but it looked more like an underground gutter, fitted for animals, not for humans. If this tunnel could speak, it could tell thousands of sad stories. Setting out on a European tour from the besieged Sarajevo, a large mixed amateur choir must leave town via the tunnel.
