Lana Bregar

Born in 1998, Lana attended the Secondary School for Desisn and Photography in Ljubljana, majoring in photography. During her school days, she exhibited a lot and received the Transgeneration Award in 2017. That's when she felt the desire to connect stories into a more unified whole and started making films, some of which also won awards. She continued her education at Slovenian Film Academy (AGRFT), where she completed her studies in film and television directing. Her graduation film Otava had its international premiere at the Sarajevo Film Festival and was a semi-finalist for the Student Oscar in 2021. She received several domestic and international awards for her short films. In 2015 and 2016, she was the recipient of the high school Grossmann Award. In 2020 and 2021, she received the university Grossmann Award for original screenplays. She is Sarajevo Talents (2021) and Innsbruck Film Campus (2018) Alumna. This year, she is participating at Sarajevo Talents Script Station.
