Jurij Meden

Biography

Jurij Meden is a curator and head of film program at the Austrian Film Museum in Vienna. Previously he worked as head of the program department at the Slovenian Cinematheque in Ljubljana and as curator of film exhibitions at the George Eastman Museum in Rochester, New York.

The film has succeeded in plucking from oblivion a precious piece of Slovenian film history from the second half of the 20th century. It will help the audience understand the relationship between mainstream Slovenian cinema and the various avant-garde movements, and to appraise them within the cultural space of the former Yugoslavia.
