Synopsis
Slovenia – a land of skiing. Climate change is transforming our winters, ski resorts are closing, jobs are disappearing, traditions are fading. Abandoned pistes are turning into mountain biking trails, and communities are discovering a new way of socialising. Will this become the new Slovenian passion?

Director's statement
The idea for the film FROM SLOPES TO TRAILS has been simmering in my mind for a long time – through years of observing local ski resorts, being caught between nostalgia and reality. Climate change is becoming a tangible everyday reality that cuts into tradition and group identity.
