Destinies is a short feature documentary film connecting the fates of three people: a Slovenian, Franc Valentinčič, a warship commander, captain of the MTB Durmitor, which refused to surrender to the enemy, escaped and later on in Egypt fought on the side of the British; a Polish nurse, Wacława Zarnowska, a member of the Polish Brigade of the Carpathian Rifles, who took part in the battle of Monte Cassino; and Mark Valentine, an Englishman who lives in Ljubljana and preserves the memories of his adoptive parents.
