Synopsis
The images from a sketchbook, which offer glimpses into the mental universe of drypoint artist Stojan Brezočnik, crossing into reflective lines of a metal plate that fill with colour and leave their trace on the white of a graphic sheet. ‘A Lost Heart’, a meditation on a human image incised with a needle, is a reflection of today’s alienation from oneself and others. When the artist finds himself in front of his works, his ‘being lost’ is felt, too, extraordinarily transformed into precise contours of the whole. His art is a critique of today’s hollowness and the apathy towards ourselves.
