Synopsis
Luka leaves for the countryside unhappy with the way his girlfriend Katarina has treated him. She follows him hoping that they could sort out their relationship. Despite the beauty and tranquillity of their surroundings they go through twists and turns that only intensify their crisis. When Katarina befriends the happy-go-lucky soldier Primož, new dimensions and choices open up for her. Ultimately all three must decide where their own life will take them.

Gre za film, ki ga majhne stvari – tako kot življenje – delajo, če ne velikega, pa nedvomno enkratnega in nepozabnega. Glavna junaka Šelestenja, moškega in žensko zgodnjih tridesetih let, srečamo, ko je njuno razmerje že temeljno načeto. Spoznavamo ju prek prepričljivo zgrajenih razmerij in vseskozi domišljen dialog, sicer veliko redkost sodobnega filma. Lapajnetov pretanjeni občutek za univerzalno krhkost medčloveških odnosov, pravzaprav glavno junakinjo filma, tako odsevata scenaristična in režijska premišljenost, ki ji senzibilnosti, lucidnosti in intelekta ne manjka.

Šelestenje prepriča s svojo enostavnostjo, skladnostjo in doslednim kreiranjem filmske govorice. Avtorji so s kolektivnim pristopom in čvrstim režijskim vodstvom uspeli odslikati in se iskreno dotakniti vsakodnevnih življenjskih zgodb v medčloveških odnosih. S kombinacijo specifične metode produkcije in univerzalne prepoznavnosti takšnih situacij se v gledalcu sproža intenziven čustven odziv.
