Synopsis
Peru is home to 70% of the world’s tropical glaciers, but 40% of their surface area has disappeared in the last fifty years alone. Meltwater carries heavy metals into rivers that provide drinking water for people and animals. A mountain community in the Andes combines ancient wisdom with modern science to protect its water, land, and future.
