Rok, who earns his living as a reporter, writes markedly impersonal and often even toned-down texts to avoid offending the ruling elite. While preparing a report on an anniversary celebration of the founding of a factory, Rok is confronted with agitated and indignant workers and a complicated situation. His decision to get to the bottom of the matter, however, only gets him into trouble with his girlfriend and the newspaper editors he submits his article to. When it is finally published, he finds that his critical analysis of the problem has been turned into a bland and politically correct report by the censors. But this time, Rok refuses to adapt to what those in power term "the given conditions".
