Synopsis
In postwar Yugoslav countryside, Metod grows up. An arson accusation exposes family and social rifts.
In the uncertain postwar Yugoslav countryside in 1948, Marjeta gives birth to twins, Metod and Cilka. Metod grows up mostly in isolation, shaped by a complex relationship with his mother and numerous external influences. In his early teens he becomes entangled in conflicts with peers and with a neighbor, Franc Kerna, who accuses him of setting fire to a hayrack. The police take Metod away, and the accusation triggers a new wave of tension within the family.
