In an attempt to explain saudade, three Portuguese and a Slovenian singer of Fado open up about their experiences around this feeling. If you are Portuguese you grow up hearing and using the word saudade. It is used from the most ordinary situations, such as having saudade for the sea, to the most overwhelming ones, as the saudade for someone far away. But what is saudade? And do the ones from other countries feel it as well or is the ability to feel it exclusive of the Portuguese people?
