Synopsis
Manicurist Tatjana (35) lives above her parents' home, just like everyone else in the village. But when a friend who has just built her dream house drops by for a manicure, Tatjana decides it’s time to create a home and a life of her own.

The film's universe is inspired by the place where I grew up; a village with strong rules about what is normal and what isn't, and a vivid mariachi band tradition. As a generation, we were promised the world, yet many can't afford a place to live, leaving us bound by the rules of property owners - often loving parents who struggle to see the line between a child in their old room and an adult building a life in the same space. This hierarchy doesn’t just shape one side; it burdens the parents too. They could be living the life that comes after raising children and exploring their everyday hobbies like having a mariachi band.

Izvirnost Hiške je v pripovedi o nekoliko absurdni, ekscesni normalnosti. Umeščenost dogajanja v avtoričino domače okolje je zanimiva, kot tudi zgodba sama, ki je preprosta, daleč od predvidljivosti, vendar univerzalna. Uporaba narečja podpira zgodbo in jo poživlja. Lik Tatjane je dobro zarisan znotraj prostora in dogajanja. Izvirna je zamisel o hiški, vidnem simbolu Tatjaninega notranjega sveta in njenih čustev. Film je privlačen tako za predstavitve kratkih filmov v slovenski Art kino mreži kot za televizijsko predvajanje. Ob ustrezni realizaciji, ki bo omogočila, da človeškost celote zadiha s polnimi pljuči, ima film možnost tudi za solidno festivalsko pot.
