With her film, Maja Weiss is trying to catch master Žnidaršič, one of the most successful and famous Slovenian photographers, in the time and space, when he was creating his photos; from travels with Marshal Tito to discovering the Lipica horses, Slovenian vineyards, hills or sea; from the wines and Planica to the war for the independence of Slovenia; the list of themes that caught the attention of Žnidaršič is extremely comprehensive. This documentary portrait is a depiction of the photographer, a television "translation" of the photography, a transfer from one medium to another. In the Portrait Žnidaršič's photography gains meaning, since Joco Žnidaršič's narration and the comments of his contemporaries add a human dimension to the images.
