The village big-shot, Mr. Pakval, attempts to ruin the other fishermen by sending spies into their midst and reporting some of them to the police for misdeeds he himself has committed. Just when it seems that Mr. Pakval's greedy plan has succeeded, a little boy called Ive intervenes between him and Mr. Lozič and with one brave deed sets the scales of justice right again. And what's more, he proves to be a better fisherman than all the grown men in the village.
