Synopsis
The short, based on Miljenko Jergović's short story, takes place during the siege of Sarajevo in 1993. The adaptation follows a family waiting for the return of their son Damir, who goes out in the morning to fetch water. His parents (Dika and Esad) try to maintain an appearance of normality, but Damir's sister Senka sinks deeper into despair.

Director's statement
Regrettably, Jergović's story is as relevant today as it was 30 years ago. It centers on a powerful theme. Violence is everywhere, yet it often remains unspectacular. It seeps through shadow and time, corrupting lives without force. How does a family endure terror and despair? What remains after?
