Synopsis

A moving, humorous, and inspiring film about confronting illness. The story follows Bronja through various stages of her life. After losing her mother to cancer in childhood, she must face the insidious disease herself at a young age. Despite numerous and nearly insurmountable challenges, Bronja meets them with a mix of tears, laughter, and unwavering optimism. The film is based on a true story and adapted from an autobiographical novel of the same title.

However, tragedy strikes again when her brother Rok dies in a fatal climbing accident. Despite the pain and heartache, Bronja slowly begins to trust again and finds love with a boy named Blaž. The film ends with the birth of her first child, and we see a happy and content Bronja, finally at peace with her life.
