Synopsis
“Amado Mio – The Passion of an Artist”, a dance film inspired by the works of P. P. Pasolini, moves through the mining town of Idrija between light and darkness, reality and fiction, love and hatred, Eros and death. Through the dance-like rhythm of working-class everyday life, it reveals the artist’s soul on a painful ascent towards the ultimate truth.
Director
Director's statement
Film and dance, in their primal sensuality, open a fissure between the sacred and the profane, transcendence and immanence. Through rhythm, play and passion, Eros and Thanatos intertwine—the artist’s passion as transformation and suffering, even at the cost of death.
