Javna agencija za knjigo RS - JAK

Slovenian Book Agency (short: JAK), which was established in 2009 by the Republic of Slovenia, supports all aspects of the field of books in Slovenia. Its tasks are:

• providing conditions for book and magazine publishing (fiction and non-fiction) and providing conditions for authors
• translating works by Slovenian authors
• international cooperation
• support to literary festivals and events
• development of the bookstore-network
• promotion of books, authors and reading
• coordination of all links in the book-chain
• training and education in the book-field
• financial support to authors
• digitalisation of the book field
