Synopsis
During a morning walk, a hedgehog comes across a beautiful red apple. He takes it to the front of his dwelling and begins rearranging the interior of his home. Meanwhile, a squirrel stumbles upon the beautiful apple. A quarrel breaks out between the two friends over who the fruit really belongs to. Meanwhile, a squirrel stumbles upon the beautiful apple. A quarrel breaks out between the two friends over who the fruit really belongs to. They ask the other forest inhabitants for their opinions as well. Disappointed by the rabbit’s indecisiveness and the bear’s greed, the arguing pair set off to seek advice from the wise owl. She soon discovers that it is an apple of discord, in which a trace of evil has taken root, and she eventually succeeds in driving the malice out. Not much of the apple remains, but the hedgehog and the squirrel are overjoyed that their friendship has withstood a demanding test.

Forest animals are at the heart of many animated films and countless books. Still, we never grow tired of them, especially not children. But since animal stories often come across as just another variation in a long line of adaptations, I always prick up my ears when I hear of a new approach to this topic. And four years ago, I learned that someone had reworked animal stereotypes with a new twist. I came across the book by Tina Arnuš Pupis, on which I based this animated series adaptation.

hrvaško: U animiranom filmu Iza devet stabala – Jabuka razdora za djecu uzrasta 3-6 godina, pratimo ježa, zeca i vjevericu kako rješavaju situaciju oko pronađene jabuke. Medvjedica im savjetuje da potraže pomoć kod mudre sove, što izaziva smiješne i zabavne situacije, a na kraju, kao i svaka basna, donosi pouku. Likovi su simpatični i odlikuju se dječjim promišljanjem, što djeci omogućuje neposredno prepoznavanje i razumijevanje. Vizualni predlošci su detaljni i dobro razrađeni, a redateljska koncepcija autora Timona Ledera je vrlo detaljna i kvalitetno izložena. Plan producenta o promociji i distribuciji je detaljan, ambiciozan i provediv, uključujući festivalsku distribuciju, TV distribuciju i VoD.

Timon Leder je zasnoval novo očarljivo in dinamično zgodbo o živalskih junakih, ki se zapletejo v konflikt. Poučni moment ob končnem preobratu kliče po pogovoru in debati z otroki po ogledu. Liki so dobro karakterizirani in večplastni, dialogi in dramaturški lok pa dobro domišljeni. Likovna podoba, ki jo je ustvarila uspešna ilustratorka, gradi ozadja s stiliziranimi elementi gozda in narave, liki pa z več podrobnostmi izražajo svoj karakter in izžarevajo očarljivost, ki jo daje teksturiranost analogne ilustracije. Film je zamišljen kot pilot za animirano serijo, kar podpira tudi informacija o nadaljevanju izdaj slikanic, ki služijo kot literarna in likovna predloga.
