An expedition of three men, each from a very different walk of life (one is a student, one an ironworker and one a farmer) sets out to climb Mt. Triglav, the highest peak in the land and according to legends, Slovenia's holy mountain. Their destination lies in the heart of the domain of the mythological golden-horned mountain goat. The companions spend the first night in a tent and on the second day of their journey, they meet field hands bringing in the hay, foresters, and alpine herdsmen. They spend the night before the final ascent in the hut of Liza the shepherdess. After conquering the "venerable old giant," the three crown their adventure with the descent down to Lake Bled - their journey's end.
