Synopsis
A small coastal town in between the two world wars. Most of the people are fishermen. Two friends, Niko and Mato are in love with the same girl Višnja and are also the leaders of the strike against the owners of the fishing boats. Mato gets caught and betrays the rest of his friends. Everybody despises him and Višnja marries Niko.
