Synopsis
The idea of a trip to Zaturtsi, Ukraine, emerges during a Kutoš family get-together, where everything revolves around uncle Geza, the family storyteller. Over a photo album, four generations of the family reminisce and share stories about their ancestors. A very special place in the album, and in Geza’s heart, is occupied by a 1917 photograph showing Peter Kutoš in Austro-Hungarian military uniform, his hand bandaged. On 10 July 1916, Peter Kutoš was heavily wounded on the Eastern Front, in Zaturtsi.
