Following The Three Tales (1955) and Three Contributions to Slovenian Madness (1983), Slovenia's third omnibus, P.S., depicts the different fates of three elderly men. The story The Flight tells of a sculptor who, being an artist of the older generation, finds life in modern Paris just a little bit too chaotic and hectic. Finally, he moves out into the country where he settles down in a remote village and produces garden gnomes and carved gravestones. The Cold tells the story of a lonely man who returns briefly and by a strange coincidence into the days of his youth, only to be thrown back into his solitary everyday life again. In The Ring we trace the career of a movie star from its decline to his successful come-back. Although he temporarily experiences retirement as a setback, the ageing actor soon regains his former self-confidence by performing in senior citizens' homes. The main issue explored in this omnibus is: Does the passage of time really only make a man old, or can he hope to gain wisdom through the years?
