People find it hard to accept their mayor’s idea of pulling down the old center of the town and building a new one. The mayor supports a plan of a young architect, a girl he is in love with. And he starts avoiding her so that people wouldn’t think his support is biased. Then she marries another man. And the first man of the town becomes the loneliest man in town.
