Synopsis
This is a story of a young artist whose tragic fate reveals the utter senselessness of war. From a Red Army soldier in the Battle of Stalingrad to a member of the German Wehrmacht, from a heroic saboteur in the ranks of the Slovenian partisans to a spy and traitor in the Soviet Union. Today, Mehdi, Mihajlo, is a hero who brings together Azerbaijan and Slovenia.
Director
Director's statement
Every war takes a toll on human lives and alters people’s destinies. Borders are changing, social systems are being rebuilt, and the old and the young are dying, ours and theirs alike. No one is the master of their own fate. When wars end, dreams of a better world often prove to be nightmares.
