A mountain bridge in Yugoslavia becomes an important strategic point in the Word War II. A group of soldiers are on a mission to destroy it in order to prevent the German tanks from its crossing. The constructor of the bridge is one of them, and he is the only one that knows exactly where to put the explosive, but he refuses to cooperate. In the end the soldiers complete their mission anyway.
