The film A Concert for Mobile Phones and an Orchestra is a film about freedom of expression and freedom of being. It is a perspective of two extraordinary personalities – an artist and a philosopher – and their opinion of the present, the future and timelessness. The ringing of mobile phones changed the sonorous character of our space and life. Great music by great musicians, their emotions and orchestra performances were compressed into tiny devices, producing everyday ringtones for ordinary people. So, reminiscent of Orwell, Slavoj Žižek characterises mobile phones as another tool of the Big Brother, who manipulates the system of values, the passage of time and limits our personal freedom. Aldo Kumar, on the other hand, creates a real concert for mobile phones and orchestra, which you can listen through the critical viewpoint of the Žižek's statement: "He who is not connected is free!"
