Balada o trobenti in oblaku

The film is set at Christmas in 1943 on a solitary mountain farm where the master of the farm Temnikar hears the sound of trumpet - he is the only one to hear it - summoning him to perform a special duty. The arrival of three quisling White Guardists with the task to kill a group of wounded partisans in their hideout, tells him what to do - he must take a shortcut to catch up with the traitors and kill them before they reach their destination and carry out their intention. While he is climbing up the shortcut carrying an axe, Temnikar has visions of the future. In one of these visions, a German detachment comes to his farm in revenge, and his family dies a martyr because of his act after the death of the traitors and his own death (for he will be inevitably killed in the act). But that does not stop him. With an inhuman effort he reaches the spot where he can carry out the fatal order.
