Newsreel 242 - Sunny Railways
Youth work actions were an integral part of post-war socialist Yugoslavia. Young brigadiers worked voluntarily on key infrastructure projects. The Šamac–Sarajevo railway, built in 1947, was one such project. With the last train running there in 2011 after the railway line was damaged in the 90s war, it now serves as a path to Europe for those seeking a better future.
Borderland (Gränsland)
A poetic essay film about memories that don't quite want to let go. Here, family history is mixed with questions about who we really are and what we carry with us when we no longer have room for the past.
Three Women Named Svetlana
On a sunny spring day, three women, all named Svetlana, are waiting at a small train station somewhere in the south of Serbia. While one longs to leave Serbia, another is visiting the country for a family visit, and the last Svetlana will likely never leave Serbia, nor the train station
*The films will be available for free online viewing from April 16 to 21, 2025.
