Synopsis
As a result of the war between 1991 and 1995, Croatia has more war widows than any other EU Member State. A new family law makes all types of partnership equal. Many of the widows of the soldiers killed during the war who now live with new partners, face losing the right to their late husbands' pensions. The state suffering from recession, the government is doing everything in its power to cut its spending. A special clandestine ministry department is set up to track down all the widows who might be breaking the law.

hrvaško: U cijeloj selekciji ovaj projekt se najviše ističe izvjesnim kino potencijalom na tragu uspješnih hrvatskih komedija posljednjih godina. Humor je najjača strana "Ministarstva ljubavi" koje prati glavnog lika koji kreće u lov na udovice hrvatskih branitelja kojima ako se dokaže da žive u izvanbračnoj zajednici, gube pravo na mirovinu. Detaljno je analizirana suvremena Hrvatske koja zna biti duboko rastrgana između odjeka ratne prošlosti i snalaženja u EU članstvu. U projektu koji bi se trebao snimati dosta na terenu, vrlo je jasno postavljen vizualni kod, sistem humora te karakterizacija i time jasno nastupa kao mainstream komedija za široki spektar gledateljstva, što su prepoznali i strani koproducenti.
